Stephen Gurasich
Stephen Gurasich is an entrepreneur at heart and an admired business builder.
In 1971, Steve was one of five University of Texas graduates who founded GSD&M. From inception until 2007, Steve served as CEO of GSD&M, helping grow the agency to more than $1 billion in billings while representing clients including Southwest Airlines, Popeyes Chicken, John Deere, the PGA TOUR, L.L. Bean and the United States Air Force.
Steve is also managing partner of real estate endeavors on behalf of the founding partners, creating and developing two successful master-planned communities: the 448-acre Lake Pointe on Lake Austin and the 500-acre Falconhead in Bee Cave, west of Austin. Steve also founded, grew and successfully sold Village Bank in Lakeway.
In 2008, Steve helped found and mentor Brand Power Exchange, a multi-million dollar minority/woman owned promotional products solutions provider that serves Fortune 500 companies, with revenues of more than $30 million in 2009.
In 2009, Steve teamed up with GSD&M co-founder, Tim McClure, to create and market H2Orange Purified Texas Water to fund academic scholarships, fellowships, and internships for students attending his alma mater. He has extensive experience in the beverage business, having directed GSD&M’s efforts on behalf of brands including Pearl, Pearl Light, Coors, Coors Light, Barq’s Root Beer and Coca-Cola.
